Joyce Greenaway

Joyce GreenawayJoyce enjoyed her guest appearances with Fortwilliam so much as Casilda in The Gondoliers in 2002 and as Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance in 2003 that she joined our company.

Her Gilbert & Sullivan demeanour was nowhere to be seen when she took on the role of the man-eating but lovelorn Meg Brockie in Brigadoon in 2004. This required considerable athletic prowess, comic timing, and the ability to sing lots of words very quickly.

Although she claimed that this was more nerve-wracking than anything we'd asked her to do before, she rose to the occasion with a series of performances that surprised a few and delighted many.

In 2005, Joyce played Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes.

No stranger to musical theatre, Joyce played Minnie Fay in Hello Dolly and Susan in Calamity Jane with Belfast Operatic Company. She put her law degree to good use when she played the Plaintiff in Trial by Jury.

She contributes regularly to concerts and church services, including solo work in Cavalcade of Song and in Belfast Operatic's concert programme throughout the year.
