Michael as Jud Fry in Oklahoma!, Feb 2001
Michael is a former Chairman and Life Member of Belfast Operatic Company, which he joined in 1984. He has appeared with many Northern Ireland companies, including Lisnagarvey Operatic Society, Opera Northern Ireland and First Act Musical Company.
Roles with Belfast Operatic Company include the Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance and Will Bill Hickock in Calamity Jane. With First Act, he played Sheriff Dodd in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and Adam Pontipee in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
In 2001, he made his first appearance for Fortwilliam as Jud Fry in Oklahoma! (as pictured here), and returned in 2003 as The Pirate King in our Silver Anniversary production of The Pirates of Penzance.
