Rosemary has been a member of our Society for many years both as a singer and a dancer. She has played a wide range of roles, including Tuptim in The King and I, Gianetta in The Gondoliers in 2002, and Edith in The Pirates of Penzance in 2003. The folowing year, she played Jane Ashton in Brigadoon.
As a leader of the Youth Group, she co-produced and choreographed the production of The Wizard of Oz in April, 2002 and repeated this role with the 2003 production of Annie.
In 2004, Rosemary decided that production and choreography did not present a big enough challenge, so she also played Tevye in the Youth Group's Fiddler on the Roof! Her father, Joe, played this part several years ago - is this the first time that a father and daughter have played the same role on stage?
She is an accomplished violinist and has enjoyed playing in the orchestra for a number of musicals, including our 2001 production of Oklahoma!.
In 2005, Rosemary played Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, and co-produced and choreographed My Fair Lady with the Youth Group.
The following year, she played the title role in Hello, Dolly!
