Siobhán Mullin

Siobhan Mullin

Siobhán first performed Gilbert and Sullivan in Wales in 1998, appearing as Iolanthe with Aberystwyth Art Centre. Her debut with the company was in the comic role of Gretel in White Horse Inn in 1993, and she has played several comedy roles since then.

Siobhán is very versatile with roles ranging from Patricia in the Cavalcade of Song concert version of Crazy for You, and Carrie in Carousel - for which she received the award for Best Female Voice in the Northern Ireland Festival for Light Opera - to Fiona in Brigadoon and Laurie in our 2001 production of Oklahoma!

She was a hard working leader of the Youth Group, before emigrating to Ballycastle in 2002. Despite the distance and time difference (not to mention the language barrier), she has continued performing with Fortwilliam.

Siobhán was delighted to be reunited with her onstage lover, John Hinchey, when she reprised her role as Fiona in our 2004 show, Brigadoon. The following year, she played Erma in Anything Goes where she earned a nomination for Best Comedienne in the AIMS Awards.

Siobhán directed us for the first time when she took control of Calamity Jane in Feb-Mar 2007. This was a great success, winning four AIMS nominations, including Best Overall Show. She took the reins again in 2008 to direct My Fair Lady in The Waterfront Studio, and in 2012 to direct Oliver! in our first production in the Theatre at the Mill, Newtownabbey.
