Our show for 2011
We have chosen our show for next year - Crazy for You. This will be directed by Andy McKnight, with Billy Cairns as MD and Angela Harding choreographing once more. It's probably too soon to say if Angela will be appearing on stage again, following her stunning comeback performance in March in Meet Me in St Louis!

AIMS Nominations
Congratulations to David Thompson, who was nominated for Best Male Singer for his performance as John Truitt in our March production of Meet Me in St Louis.

Youth Group Disco
Our end of year Disco took place on Friday 28 May in Little Flower School and was a great success. The fancy dress theme was A Night at the Movies. Sarah Reid won the prize for the best costume (Transformer), while Owen Murray won the proze for the most inventive costume (Fat B**tard from Austin Powers).

Recent performances

Hello, Dolly!

Our Youth Group performed Hello, Dolly! in the Courtyard Theatre, Ballyearl from Wed 21 April to Sat 24 April. This popular show includes the songs Put on your Sunday clothes, Before the parade passes by and the title track that was a hit for Louis Armstrong way back in 1968. Click here to see the cast list.

The Youth Group is a cross-community collection of highly talented children. Many of our youth members have graduated to our adult group. In our recent production of Meet Me in St Louis, Sinead O'Kelly played the lead role of Esther Smith to great acclaim, Becki Fleming was dance captain, and the chorus featured a number of current and recent youth members.

Meet me in St Louis

Meet Me in St LouisOur show for 2010 was Meet Me in St Louis. Based on the 1944 movie which starred Judy Garland, it is set in the run-up to the 1904 World's Fair and features such favourites as The Boy Next Door, Skip to My Lou, The Trolley Song, and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

We were delighted that Wilfie Pyper agreed to direct us for the first time. Wilfie has a wealth of experience of directing and performing, and we all enjoyed working with him.

Billy Cairns again took the reins as musical director, with choreography by Angela Harding.

The show ran from Mon 1-Sat 6 Mar 2010 in the Waterfront Studio and was sold out for most of the seven performances.
