Bill Curran
The Committee and members of Fortwilliam Musical Society wish to express their regret at the passing of founding member and former chairman, William Curran.

Throughout our history, Bill has played a central role in pushing us to the new heights we have reached since beginning in school and church halls in North Belfast in 1977. He will be greatly missed, not least as a key performer in our bass line.

We extend our deepest sympathy to all the Curran family, especially his wife Amy who has been one of our keenest supporters and his brother John, our President.

Seamus Boyle, 1940-2005

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Seamus Boyle, who died on January 28, 2005. Seamus joined our company in 1990, and was Chairman from 1993 until very recently (apart from a 1-year sabbatical.)

For many people, Seamus and Fortwilliam MS will always be inextricably linked. His contributions to the Society, both onstage, as the self-styled "Leading Male Dancer", and offstage as an inspirational leader and tireless driving force will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

It's a Hat-trick!
We've done it again! The AIMS Awards were announced on Jun 19th, and we won the Spirit of AIMS / Adjudicator's Special Award for having "an inclusive policy" for Brigadoon. This is the third year in a row that we've won an AIMS Award, following on from the Best G&S or pre-1935 Show awards for The Pirates of Penzance in 2003 and The Gondoliers in 2002.
